TOM EYLENBOSCH & THE BRITTLE BONE BAND

Friday 21/8

19:00 - 20:15

Tom Eylenbosch is regarded as one of the most striking young piano talents from the Belgian blues scene. His virtuoso piano playing, warm voice, and flawless sense of groove combine to form a powerful mix of blues, New Orleans piano, rock 'n' roll, and boogie-woogie, which he brings to the stage with ease.

Hailing from Keerbergen, he started playing the piano at a young age. What began as a passion quickly grew into a sought-after talent within the Belgian scene. Today, he collaborates with Guy Verlinde and Stef Paglia, among others, and is also part of the Missy Sippy All Stars.

That growth did not go unnoticed: Eylenbosch was crowned Best Instrumentalist at the Belgian Blues Awards and made history in 2025 by becoming the first solo artist ever to win the Belgian Blues Challenge, thereby representing Belgium internationally.

With his debut album My Kind of Blues, he takes the audience to New Orleans — the city of legends like Dr. John, Professor Longhair, and Fats Domino, who has clearly left a lasting mark on his style.

At our festival, Tom appears for the first time with his new band: The Brittle Bone Band. A powerful lineup featuring drums, bass, trombone, saxophone, and harmonica, which gives his music an extra layer of energy and brass power.

Whereas last year we closed with a thrilling party by the Take Me To The River All-Stars New Orleans, this year we are turning things around: we are opening straight away with a steaming New Orleans party. Rolling piano riffs, steaming horns, and a band that sets the stage on fire immediately.
