SKYLER SAUFLEY
Sunday 23/8
16:45 - 18:00

Some artists play music, others let music breathe. Skyler Saufley clearly belongs to the latter category.
His style harks back to the warm West Coast blues of the 40s and 50s, where swing, finesse, and subtlety were central. Names like T-Bone Walker and Lowell Fulson serve as clear points of reference.
However, for him it is not about reconstruction, but about reinterpretation. His playing consists of flowing guitar lines, jazzy accents, and a relaxed groove that makes the whole timeless without becoming old-fashioned.
There is a natural elegance in his approach, as if every note falls exactly into place without forcing.
Live, he creates an atmosphere reminiscent of small clubs from another era, but which at the same time works perfectly on a modern festival stage.
This is his Belgian festival debut — and immediately an introduction to an artist who knows how to make a classical style breathe again.
