Belfast-born and multiple award-winning blues artist Dom Martin has become one of the most successful British blues rock artists of recent years. His unique guitar playing and raw voice touch every listener. The 34-year-old Northern Irishman had his breakthrough in 2019 with his acoustic guitar playing and debut album ‘Spain To Italy’.

Having already won the UK Bluesaward for both ‘Best Acoustic Blues Artist’ and ‘Instrumentalist of the Year’ 3 times, he was inducted into the UK Blues Hall of Fame.

For many blues fans, Dom and his power trio is the reincarnation of Rory Gallagher. Dom is booked annually at the UK festivals that honor Rory's music and also during his European concerts he likes to smuggle some Rory songs in his set list.

 

In late 2024 he released the double live album ‘Buried Alive’ which consists of a CD of electric songs and a CD of acoustic work. This album can be considered the apotheosis of his talent.

 

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Rory's death, but with Dom Martin we have a new Irish guitar god to cherish.
